public dinner

This installation was part of an ongoing investigation into artistic research performed by several artists at Skånes Konstforening in Malmö, Sweden. I sought to activate the white box, gallery space, blurring the lines between inside and outside, personal and academic, in creating a public dinner during the exhibition. Many came and went, convening, eating, discussing in a lively atmosphere not typically encountered in the gallery. In this way, public became part of exhibition themselves as well. This work examined process and the ongoing life of a meal in preparation, conversation, eating, clean up, etc.
