Midnight tea

This project was a collaboration with the conceptual artist Natasha Marin for her Midnight Tea, “Guil-tea”, held in Seattle.

“Miko Kuro’s Midnight Tea is an experimental art project fostering dynamic cross-cultural collaborations and genuine encounters with the artistic ‘Self,’ using time, tea, and technology. These ‘art ritual’ events strive to bring high-quality art experiences to the lives of artists, non-traditional art consumers, and members of underserved communities alike, in a manner that is both reverent and experimental.”

Each tea has a focus. This tea examined and processed White Guilt.

“At midnight, 12 strangers will join with local artists to co-create a cathartic art ritual […], designed to both recognize and release White Guilt. All are welcome.”

I participated as a Featured Artist, painting.
